Ramridge Baptist Church began in 1954 as a new initiative on land specifically designated by Herbert Janes Builders during the construction of a then new Council Estate in southeast Luton. The founding membership was made up from a number of denominations in the area who shared the same vision and the church was 'self built' with voluntary help from many sources.

Keith Rudman, was appointed as Minister in January 2005. Keith but has now accepted a pastorate at Uckfield Baptist Church, effective from 1st September 2009. We are now currently looking for a new minister and trust God for guidance through the upcoming months.

2010 saw the year of discussing our mission statement and vision of Ramridge as a church to create a up-to-date focus of the purpose of Ramridge.

We Believe

* God’s word and God’s truth is fully expressed in the Bible.

* The Bible clearly explains we live in a fallen world where sin separates us from a holy God, our Maker and Creator.

* The consequence of sin is judgement but the sacrificial death of Jesus on a roman cross has made it possible for sin to be forgiven, judgement to be escaped and an assurance of eternal life given to those that choose to follow Jesus.

* Jesus has risen from the dead and is alive forevermore ready, willing and able to deliver all God’s promises.

* There is no other way to know God and receive salvation than through Jesus.

* Jesus will deliver His greatest promise to visibly return again in glory to this world to establish an eternal kingdom for those that have truly believed in Him.

* This message is reliable and true and vitally important for today’s world as it offers the only hope in people’s lives.

* We believe it is our responsibility under God to make this message known so that people can make their own choice.

Our Core Values

TRUTH - The Bible as the single source of wisdom for successful and fulfilled daily living

TRUST - We experience God in His fullness when we fully rely on Him in every area of our lives. Therefore we will be committed to prayer, preaching, teaching and application of His Word, spritual servant leadership and world evangelism

PEOPLE - People matter to God, therefore they matter to us! Real life change can only occur through genuine relationships

TEAM - Each person is a vital part of this church family, and each fulfils their God-given purpose when they contribute to the building of other people through the local church. Each person has a ministry to fulfil.

SERVANTHOOD - This is the example Christ left the Church. Service is at the heart of all we do and say, and so we serve each other. We are called to servant leadership and service is the way of contentment.

Our Strategy

We seek to fulfil our Vision and express our core values by:

EXALTING GOD

EVANGELISING THE WORLD AROUND FOR CHRIST

ENCOURAGING BELIEVERS TOWARD MATURITY

EQUIPPING BELIEVERS FOR MINISTRY

ESTABLISHING COMMUNITY

50th Annivesrary

In October 2006, Ramridge Baptist Church became 50 years old. The Church celebrated by inviting past Ministers and Members to join in a day of celebration and thanksgiving. A special service was led by the Rev Peter Tongeman, the first Minister at Ramridge in 1956, pictured with his wife.
