Girls Brigade Girls Brigade is an international organisation for girls ages 5 to 18. This is an opportunity for girls to meet together to make friends, have fun and learn together. Each evening consists of a range of different activites from crafts, games, cooking and sharing. Every year we join together with other Girls Brigade companies in Bedfordshire for social events and a chance to meet other girls who also belong to the Girls Brigade. We meet every Tuesday evenings during term time. Explorers (5-7) 5:30 - 6:45pm Juniors (7-11) 6:45pm - 8:15pm Seniors & Brigaders (11 +) 6:45pm - 8:15pm If you would like to know more contact Jennifer at events@ramridgebaptist.org This summer saw the Girls Brigade take part in many events. We had a sleepover where we broke the world record for the biggest sleepover with other sleepovers up around the country. A visit to the fire station was enjoyable with an opportunity for the girls to see the fire engine learn about fire safety and also have a go with the hose pipe! As a district with other Girls Brigade companies in Bedfordshire we had a water sports day, a great event on the hottest day of the year! A teddy bear picnic was arranged for the teddies bears which I am sure they all enjoyed. Our final event of the year was a BBQ for the girls and their families. Girls Brigade will start back again on Tuesday 7 September. New girls are always welcomed to join us, just turn up one Tuesday with a parent. 50th Anniversary In 2006 the Girls Brigade Company at Ramridge celebrated 50 years. It is still growing strong with an average of 30 girls attending each week. The company is run by three officers and a number of regular helpers.
